For the girl who was told the world wasn't built for her.
Jennifer's advocacy is rooted in a single conviction: that scientific excellence and equitable access are not competing values. They are inseparable ones. Drawing on her journey from Nigeria to the world's leading research institutions, she works at the intersection of women's health, girl child education, maternal and child research, and the systemic barriers that keep brilliant people out of science. Her platform is built on data, personal narrative, and an unshakeable belief that representation and rigour belong in the same room.
Jennifer speaks at the intersection of science, equity, and ambition. Her talks draw on her journey from Nigeria to the world's leading research institutions, and on her experience building platforms, leading international research, and navigating systems that reward persistence as much as pedigree. She speaks across three broad areas:
The gender data gap, what science owes women, and how evidence-based platforms can close it.
First-generation researcher experiences, scholarship and graduate funding for African students, and building a research career without a conventional roadmap.
How scientists can shape policy, business, and leadership, and the importance of context-specific evidence in low- and middle-income countries.
Jennifer has mentored and continues to mentor across every stage of her career. She has supported prospective African graduate students through the Exceptional Scholars Academy, undergraduate students through the University of Toronto's Nutritional Sciences Mentorship Program, and secondary school girls as a senior biology teacher in Nigeria.
In 2018, Jennifer received United Nations recognition for her voluntary contributions to the Sustainable Development Goals in Nigeria, with particular focus on SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) and SDG 4 (Quality Education). This recognition reflects a commitment to ensuring that progress in health and education reaches the communities most affected by gaps in both.
Jennifer is the founder of Ellveris, a science-based platform for women. Ellveris was built in response to a specific problem: women are navigating oversaturated markets, overstated claims, and health misinformation produced by people with no scientific training, while the evidence that could genuinely serve them is poorly translated, selectively marketed, or absent altogether.
Ellveris translates that evidence clearly and honestly across four pillars that reflect the full scope of women's lives.
The biology behind what shows up on the face, skin, hair, and body.
The life-stage and diagnostic questions women carry for years without clear answers.
How female physiology intersects with focus, performance, leadership, and productivity.
Hormone-informed mental wellbeing, cognition, sleep, and emotional health.
